Spring Cleaning Reading

So I've been thinking, I have a lot of sequels to get to.  It happens surprisingly often that I start a new series and never continue on with it because I see a new, shiny book that I want to pick up.  I've decided that for spring, I'm going to get onto continuing series that I stopped - a take on the idea of spring cleaning.  Since I live in Australia, spring starts in September, and at that point, I'm going to start clearing out my unfinished series (that I want to continue, of course) along with the books that I own, but have yet to read.  So without further ado, here is the longest TBR list in history!

1.  Crimson Bound by Rosamund Hodge  2.  Infinite by Jodi Meadows  3.  Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas  4.  Queen of Shadows by Sarah J. Maas  5.  Ruin and Rising by Leigh Bardugo  6.  Reawakened by Colleen Houck  7.  The Winner's Crime by Marie Rutkoski  8.  Intertwined by Gena Sholwater  9.  Falling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes  10.  Blue Lily, Lily Blue by Maggie Steifvater  11.  Scarlet by Marissa Meye  12.  The Copper Gauntlet by Holly Black and Cassandra Clare  13.  The Unbound by Victoria Schwab  14.  Cress by Marissa Meyer  15.  Dare You To by Katie McGarry  16.  The Scorch Trials by James Dashner  17.  The Titan's Curse by Rick Riordan  18.  UnWholly by Neal Shusterman  19.  Killer Instinct by Jennifer Lynn Barnes

There's a few more sequels I plan to read at some stage in my life (I have a Goodreads shelf for them), but they're not immediately pressing and/or released.

Along with these books, I also have four coming from the library:

1.  The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh  2.  Uprooted by Naomi Novik  3.  The Heir by Kiera Cass  4.  Finding Audrey by Sophie Kinsella

I'm also currently rereading Asunder by Jodi Meadows in preparation for Infinite.  Also, these books are definitely not in order of priority, because they're all pretty equal in that sense.  Another thing is that I certainly won't read all of these by the end of spring, that's not in doubt.  I probably won't even read all of these by the end of the year!  Not only because of the number of them (I'm a slow reader) but also because none of this counts for the inevitability of me putting random books on hold from the library, which I do so very often.  Just look at my last wrap up - 6 books I read last month were just random books that I felt like getting from the library.  I really need to learn to control myself!

Have you got any books you really need to read this month?  What about sequels you need to get to?

  1. I see a few books I need to get to as well, especially Uprooted and Blue Lily, Lily Blue! I hope you like The Unbound, Scarlet, The Titan's Curse and Ruin & Rising. The first three I loved, the latter wasn't what I was expecting but we win some, we lose some *shrugs*
Hope your Spring reading time is awesome Sabrina :)

    1. Yes I'm very excited to read BL,LB especially :) I hope you get to it soon too!
Well I'm guessing I'll at least love The Titan's Curse! I didn't fall in love with The Archived, so I'm not sure how I'll feel about The Unbound. I'm also kind of terrified to read Ruin and Rising! So many people (including you) didn't enjoy it...
Thanks Noelia - you too! (Except... Autumn reading time?)

  2. Don't you want to switch places with me for the winter? Autumn has only started but it's already WAY TOO COLD, I can't deal with cold and when it'll start to snow I'm seriously moving away lol. I really love this idea and might actually do something like this later on, though, I highly doubt I'd be able to get much reading done - I just don't do well under 'pressure'.

The Winner's Crime was really great, for me, the first book was better, but most people think otherwise. Blue Lily, Lily Blue was SO GOOD! Raven Cycle and The Lunar Chronicles are my favorite series at the moment so I really hope you'll enjoy the sequels. Both series keep getting better and better so I'm excitedly awaiting the finale books.

I should really read Dare You To but I'm not sure I ever will. Pushing the Limits was really enjoyable but not as much of a wonder as everyone else thought so. Percy Jackson and the Olympians series was so much fun! Hope you'll love the third book too. I did enjoy The Maze Runner but The Scorch Trials was SOMETHING ELSE. I really started to feel for the characters in that book and understood them a bit better. Also, the story was really action packed, with many-many twists. The Heir was a huge disappointment for me but I have hopes for the finale novel.

I have to finally get myself to pick up Uprooted - I won it right after the publication but still didn't have time to pick it up. It's so huge and looks very overwhelming haha. The Wrath and the Dawn and Finding Audrey are on my TBR as well, though I'm waiting with the first until the second novel comes out.

Good luck for you spring reading and hope you'll love all these books. :)

    1. Hahaha no thank you! I'm very excited that the weather is starting to warm up here - perfect reading weather, because I can sit outside and relax in the sun. Sorry to hear that you are heading into the colder months. I'm glad you like the idea, I hope it will be successful for me because I am the same as you when it comes to pressure.

I'm so happy that you liked The Winner's Crime, even if you thought the first was better. I can't really remember exactly why I liked The Winner's Curse, so it's been concerning me. I'm super excited to continue with both The Raven Cycle and The Lunar Chronicles, it's great to hear that they are your favourite series!

To be honest, I don't know if I'll ever pick up Dare You To either, but it was worth putting it on this list because it gives me more motivation to! I'm glad you liked Pushing the Limits, even if you didn't love it.

I'm actually really glad to hear that about The Scorch Trials because I wasn't the biggest fan of the first book, but it had a lot of potential. Getting to know the characters better is a big selling point for me.

As for The Heir, I'm not really expecting to like it lol. Especially after hearing everyone's opinions (most are similar to yours). But I feel like I have to read it now because I finished the original trilogy.

I hope you will bring yourself to read Uprooted soon - I have high hopes for it! Lucky you for winning it! Also, good call for waiting 'til the second book to read The Wrath and the Dawn.

      Thank you very much!
