The Christmas Tag

Happy Christmas Eve everyone!  I hope that your Christmas is special and filled with joy and happiness.  Today I'm doing the Christmas Tag which I found on thequietpeople.com.

What is your favourite thing about Christmas?
Everything leading up to Christmas is great.  I love how everyone seems a little more cheerful.  I love that my family acts extra kind to each other.  I love getting a tree and decorating it.  I love picking out presents for my friends and family.  And I especially love deciding on recipes (for my mum) to cook for Christmas day.

What is your favourite Christmas film?
I have to go with How The Grinch Stole Christmas.  I mentioned this in a post a few months ago, but this is one of the movies I watch every year with my brother and sister.

Real or fake tree?
Real.  If we don’t have the scent of a Christmas tree in our house, it’s just doesn’t feel like Christmas!

Giving presents or receiving them?
Both.  Let’s face it, I love getting presents just as much as I like giving them out.

Do you open presents on Christmas morning or evening?
Christmas morning, before the extended family shows up!

What tops your tree?
This fabric angel.  As you can see, our tree was almost too tall this year!

As a child, what was the one thing you always asked for but never received?
I don't think there was really anything.  Maybe a pool?

Handmade Christmas cards or bought?
Well considering my mum actually has a bunch of professional stuff for making cards - handmade.  They’re usually a lot more creative and pretty, in my opinion.

What is your favourite Christmas food?
Um… Everything?

Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?
On Christmas Eve (so, tonight) my family goes to the 9.30pm Christmas Mass together.  Usually my Aunty comes down from Sydney (I live “in” Melbourne) and comes with us, but that’s not happening this year.  I've also been informed that we are going to the 6pm mass this year - talk about breaking all the traditions!  Then after the mass, we go driving around looking for the best Christmas lights.  I’m hoping this year’s lights are better than last year’s!

So that was The Christmas Tag!  I hope you enjoyed reading it and have a Merry Christmas tomorrow!

Let me know your responses to these questions!

  1. Merry Christmas Sabrina!!!! I love everything about Christmas as well, especially the food ;) and I've never watched How The Grinch Stole Christmas (I know! I know!) but I love watching Home Alone, Love Actually and The Holiday - they are my absolute favourites!
And for our Christmas Eve, well, we have a nice dinner quite late at night because my father works pretty late during this time of year and so we just have a chill night and then, we can either enjoy a bit of music/dancing and maybe we get to open our presents. If we don't, we do it on Christmas Day! :)
