Liebster Q&A

Today I am here with the news that I've been nominated for a Liebster award by my friend Jay @ Books By Jay - thanks very much!  If you've been around for a while, you'll know I did a couple of these last year (which you can see here and here - just remember, I was a different person back then lol) and you'll also know that I am ridiculously bad at picking people to tag.  So, hopefully no one minds if I just use Jay's questions for a Q&A post.  Here goes!

1.  What is your favourite genre of music?
I’m honestly not sure.  This is mostly because there are a lot of different opinions on what genre my favourite music is actually from, so it's not as simple as googling it - though trust me, I tried.

2.  How many books are on your TBR?
As of this very moment, I have 731 books on my entire TBR list.  On my more immediate TBR list, I only have 105.  Pfft, "only".... who am I kidding?  Even if I don't add any more books to that list, it'll (sadly) take me at least two years to get through 105 books.

3.  What is your favourite book / series?
I have to go with Harry Potter, though Howl's Moving Castle is very close behind along with the rest of the 60 books on my favourites list.

4.  Which book intimidates you?
Well this one’s easy:  A Game of Thrones.  There's not much more to say on that apart from EIGHT HUNDRED AND THIRTY FIVE PAGES.

5.  If you were to be given a book as a gift, which one would you like to receive?
So many options!  Right now I would probably say The Night Circus because I know I want it (since I read and loved it), and I will probably own it within the next couple years, but I can't bring myself to buy it just yet.  I've gotta save up!

6.  Do you like classics?  If so, which one is your favourite?
I can’t say that I’ve read many classics.  I know, I know.  I am reasonably ashamed.  But I really do love Pride and Prejudice.

7.  What is the one thing that you don’t leave your house without (other than your phone or money)?
Clothes!

8.  Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Hopefully, I'll be on a holiday in ten years.

In other words - I have no idea.

9.  What would you like to do for a living?
I would love to do something involving animals.  Research for endangered species, perhaps?

10.  What is your biggest bookish pet peeve?
I have a few, but I'm slowly getting over them aha.  The main one that I used to get so angry about is owning books from the same series that aren't the same size or have non-matching covers.  Now I just kind of sigh and deal with it.

11.  Describe yourself in 3 words.
Introverted, (hopefully) nice and worried.

So that's that!  Thanks for reading!

  1. Hi Sabrina! :)
I really, really liked you answers - we actually answered a few quite similar! - and I totally agree with you on Game of Thrones ... it's HUGE and there are so many books and ugh. I'll probably never read it, haha.

I also haven't read The Night Circus yet - I own it but haven't had time or the motivation to pick it up ... I guess I should do that sometime soon? :D

And the matching covers! UGH, how I hate that! So many of my books are a different size and it just bothers me when I look at my shelves (I still love them but ... *sigh*) - that's also why I have/want to wait till I can finally buy Isla & the Happily Ever After because SPEAK won't publish it before August ... oh well. :D

    1. Hi Yvonne :)
I'm glad you liked them! I'll pop over and check out your post in a little bit. Yeah, it's one of those books that I say I'm going to read but probably won't ever get to.
Yes, yes yes - you should pick it up! It's slow to start with, but worth it in the end.
I'm happy to hear I'm not alone in that. Having to wait extra time for the right copy to be published is the worst.

  2. Aww thank you for doing this!♥

I own the Night Circus, but it's actually what I thought of when I wrote the 'Which book intimidates you' question. I'm scared to delve into it for some strange reason, but Game of Thrones is a pretty great choice!!

Almost most of my series don't match, I totally get you on this one hahaha and I'm glad you went with HP for that one, I totally would have! :)

    Have an amazing day Sabrina♥

    1. It was fun! Sorry that I messed with it a bit though...
I used to be intimidated by The Night Circus too - for one thing, some people say it's an adult novel, and I don't read those very often, and another, it's pretty long. I really hope you read it though - it's definitely worth the time :)
Yeah, I don't have many series that match either *sob*, but I'm learning to be okay with it ahah. I'm glad to hear you would have picked HP too!

      You too, Jumana!

  3. Game of Thrones can be pretty intimidating because of the page number but it's a page turner. Believe me! The first 3/4 chapters are the hardest because there is so much info but once you get used to have millions and millions of characters, you're hooked!
A have a few series whose books don't match (size wise) and it kills me! Publishers know nothing! And I would love to be on holiday in 10 years... like a non-stop holiday hahahaha

    1. The fact that there's so many characters also makes this book intimidating! At least I know of a few of them because I see the tv show around so much on Tumblr aha. I trust you, so maybe I will have to read this one after all.
Yes! The publishers need to consult the readers more on cover and size changes lol.
A non-stop holiday would be lovely!
